Comments Overall, the trip was good. The weather was nice, the accommodations on the boat were nice, the tenders were fast and everything functioned as planned. I was really excited to be able to go on this trip. I expected lots of large sea life with the potential for whale sharks. That's where the disappointment came in - no whale sharks, no mantas. There were plenty of sharks, mainly whitetip reef sharks. The crew was friendly and knowledgeable, but some of the guides seemed to be more into herding us along than finding and pointing out any unique reef life. What surprised me most was that, unlike other dive trips where we expected and saw mantas, this trip had no dives on cleaning stations. I don't know if that's because certain areas of the reef are off-limits, or because they just haven't located them.

Other than that, there was a lot of diversity of marine life - tons of turtles, schools of barracuda, a large variety of puffer fish, bump-head parrot fish, rays, eels, etc. Not a huge selection of nudibranchs, but there were a few, and we did find some pygmy seahorses.
