Comments Much improved in two ways as compared to my pre-covid visits: the food and the dive boats. The quality of food appears to me to show that the resort is spending more to purchase better ingredients and has more capable hands in the kitchen. There are several choices at all meals that for lunch and dinner include meat, chicken or fish, vegetables, pasta, and white rice as well as a Philippine option or two. Make-your-own salad at lunch and dinner with freshly washed lettuce that caused no stomach problems for anyone. Breakfast includes an omelet station for made-to-order eggs and omelets plus choice of French toast or pancakes.

In my previous two visits nearly all divers were taken to the dive sites by bangka, which is a Philippine boat, and there was only one modern speedboat for about 6 divers. Now there are three speedboats, which are twice as fast as the bangkas and more comfortable with full length canvas tops and tank racks. Some sites were a 40 minute trip by bangka so the speedboat gets there in 20 minutes.

UW Photo Comments Anilao is one of the top macro destinations and the resort clearly caters to underwater photographers. Large, 18-station camera room with plentiful outlets and air conditioning. Knowledgeable and experienced guides, with low guide to photographer ratio (2-4) work hard to find good subjects and know what photographers need. Boat crews carry camera back and forth to boats. World's largest diversity of nudibranch's.
