Comments After 10 incredible days in the Highlands of PNG attending two of the annual festivals, we made our way to Kimbe Bay to explore underwater. We flew to Port Moresby where we boarded an Air Nuigini flight to Hoskins. From there, we were picked up by Walindi Resort for about an hour drive. The boat is docked at the resort so you have a very nice place to spend a night before boarding or just the day as you can’t board until 4pm. We stayed at the resort for a week post liveaboard so see our separate review of Walindi.

The boat MV Oceania is a large (27m) catamaran that was completely re done in 2019. The owner/captain Dan is also a diver so he designed the ship with divers in mind. The cabins are pretty spacious, all on the same level as the dive deck which was very convenient. Each cabin has a window and there are double bed cabins or twin bed cabins. The twin cabins also had a closet which the double did not. Bathroom was adequate. The only issue was the bathroom sink was so shallow that you had to squeeze ... Subscribe to get the full story. This sounds similar to our trip in 2018. It's really unfortunate and sad to hear that it hasn't recovered. Thanks for the report.
