Comments Manta Ray Bay Dive Resort
I have stayed at this resort several times and have never been disappointed. Bill Acker has built a beautiful modern resort with amenities you might not expect in such a remote area. All meals are served onboard the phinisi schooner Mnuw. The Crow’s Nest is a beautiful place to spend the evening.
The subject matter here is all about Manta Rays. The area surrounding the islands of Yap is a Manta protection zone. The cleaning station areas are well known to the dive guides, and they know the best times of the day to visit the various areas.
Vertigo is one of the most popular dive sites for sharks that frequent the area. Photographers can take advantage of a shark feeding excursion to capture over/under shots.
The island of Yap is also a cultural treasure. Do not leave the island without visiting the Yap Stone Money Bank.
