Comments Good things: Dive operation is completely tek and rebreather oriented. It is well equipped with boxes, lockers and hangers to keep your diving gear. There are 3 trucks and 2 boats, one RIB and a new 40 feet catamaran with british diver deployment and recovery system: a stern elevator that makes your life easy. The trucks take you and equipment to a wharf or marina closest to the diving point. This is to avoid long navigation times sometimes in a not so smooth sea.
Underwater visibility is mediterranean style: 30 meters in an average day! Temperature was a confortable 24 C until 30 m depth. From that layer down there is a strong thermocline that decreases to 15/16 C, so dry suit is highly recommended. Currents could be strong sometimes.
Wrecks are fantastic, both real and artificial. Many from WWII and WWI and some purposedly sunk.
During wait on weather days Malta is plenty of historical and cultural attractions other than good restaurants and caffes.

Bad things: Limited options for rental gear and tanks. They have DIR kits (regulators, wings and plates) but very few 15 l doubles. I used 13 l during the dives but never went beyond 60 m depth. Besides they have limitations in refilling pressure, that makes impossible to reach 230 bar.
Forget about big fish. Sea creatures are ususally small and dispersed on the wrecks.
Be careful with weather forecast. Wind can ground you for some days.
