Comments	Maldives was on our list and the Diving was very good in some spots. But no one warned us that you can’t take any liquor - the authorities took ours away at the airport. The liveaboard Carpe Vita is luxury on the water. Getting there from the U.S. was quite the ordeal. The islands are a true tropical paradise, almost as beautiful as Tahiti and there’s so much ocean that we were able to find some privacy. There are quite a few other boats but it’s still way better than the crowds in the Caribbean. Mantas and whale shark were the highlights. Crew is great, service top notch. There were 17 divers, all American which we found unusual due to the distance. Diving off the dhoni was very comfortable and there was plenty of room.
