Comments First of all Negril JA is a vacation destination and not a diving destination. However there is decent diving and I always bring my scuba gear. There are 3 independent dives ops not counting the all-inclusive resorts. I have used them all in the past. This year I picked Sundivers because they had the best boat and a real ladder. Not a wooden thing just tossed over the side of a glass-bottomed boat. Sundivers is located closest to the dive sites so the boat rides were very short and most of the surface intervals were taken back at the dive center. The dive masters knew of less dived sites that did not have a bouy and were not visited by the all inclusive resorts. We saw several Hawksbill turtles and a nice Eagle Ray. The fish are small due to overfishing but there are lots of small critters, lobsters and ells to see. Plenty of swim throughs. Bottom times were usually limited to 45 minutes. Advanced divers may not be impressed but it is better than anything in Va and I am there on vacation anyway.
