Comments Diving is easy. You put on your gear, walk a few steps down to the dive deck and step into the water. This is the way that all diving should be done. Diving from a dinghy is fine, but eats up time getting to the dive sites and back. Plus some dinghies have badly-designed ladders that make it hard to get into the zodiac.

The crew is fantastic, doing all they can to help with the diving. They will put the fins before the dive and take them off after the dive. I feel that taking the fins off was over the top but went along with it.

The food was fantastic. A lot of variety and delicious. Gena, the chef, had soup with many of the meals. I am not a soup lover, but her soups were awesome. All the meals were first-rate. Could not have wished for more.

The diving was good. Among the very best in the Caribbean. There were two shark feeds that brought in reef sharks and nurse sharks. The nurse sharks are always fun, like puppies. There were barracuda, groupers, several large turtles, moray eels, mantis shrimps, peacock flounders, and an upside down jelly fish, among others.

There was significant coral damage/bleaching, but that seems to be the case all over. Very sad to see.

The dive masters, German and Kevin, were excellent. You could follow them or not. They always seemed to be around. Kevin took pictures and shared them with the guests. I will try to post a link to the selection that I kept. Look out for the inverted jelly fish; I had never seen one before. Personally, I am not convinced that it was an inverted jellyfish since the images in the identification books show a different looking creature.

Carolina, the cruise director, was super fun. At the end of the trip we were told that this was her second week win the job. Wow. But all the other crew members were good. They were busy keeping the boat running; I am amazed that a small crew of seven, plus the night watchman, can run a 120 ft boat.

Summary: A fantastic experience, highly recommended if you want to dive in the Caribbean.
