Comments Deep Blue Utila is like going home for me. I have been going here for several years. Swin the boat captain is the best. I have been diving with several dive masters over the years and have never had a complaint. Out of the 8 trips that I have made to Utila I have been in the water with Whale Sharks every trip but one. On this trip I found the corals to have actually improved over the previous trips and much more abundant sea life. Steve, Susan and Shirley go out of there way to take care of their guests. I am on a very restricted diet and Susan makes sure that I am well fed. I have been diving for a long time and have been to many places. Although Utila does not compare to Lembeh or PNG for diversity and critters, it does hold it's own for diving the the Caribbean. I rarely dive any where else in the Carib anymore but I am already planning on going back to Deep Blue.

Subject Matter 5 stars Boat Facilities 4 stars
Overall rating for UWP's 4 stars Shore Facilities 3 stars
UW Photo Comments there is a rinse tank on the boat and one on shore. Not really any other facilities for photographers but there is plenty of space in your room to spread out your camera gear. Also. lots of electrical outlets for charging batteries and strobes. Not something that you see everywhere. Doing the shore dive with a camera is a bit of a challenge but this is not something that the Op promotes. Good dive site yes.. but they do not promote ease of entry with a camera. Personally I don't care as I don't prefer shore dives to begin with.
