Comments My wife & I have been to Maui at least a dozen times & have been diving with Mike Severns Diving for about 25 yrs. As reported in Undercurrent, Pauline is a marine biologist & she & her crew give great dive briefings, describing what critters & marine life interactions we may see at each dive site. It had been about 5yrs since we last dived with them & it was interesting to see Pauline still have as much interest & excitement with her dive briefings as she did 25yrs ago.
Each day begins with the first dive at Molokini Crater, sometimes inside the rim, sometimes on the back wall. The second dives were closer to Maui Island, at the St. Anthony wreck & Pu'u Olai. We saw a flame wrasse, anthias, frog fish, Hawaiian lionfish, octopi, eels turtles, different nudibranchs; there was one eel that just had some octopus for breakfast & still had part of one of the tentacles around its head.
Since it was March, we encountered whales & a pod of dolphins on our way to & from Molokini.
Can't say enough about Pauline & the crew. They are very entertaining & helpful.

UW Photo Comments They keep all cameras in one spot next to the boat captain. It is protected & they handle the cameras very carefully. I usually always take a 60mm lens because it can be used for macro or to do fish photography.
