The Dive Masters Holly and Anthony were very professional. Fathom Five is a well run operation. Their Nitrox compressor was down at the time, but they still managed to get Nitrox fills from a nearby dive shop. Very good dive briefings prior to getting on boat, with a stress on safety, and also prior to each dive. They treat divers and the underwater life with respect. They have good quality dive gear for rental as well. I went with my daughter and she was able to get all her dive gear from the shop. There were turtles on almost every dive. At "Turtle Bluffs", D.M. Anthony found more than half dozen White Tip Shark-parents and juveniles. Lots of Morays, Racoon Butterflies, Moorish Idol, Scorpion Fish (even a Leaf Scorpion Fish), and Nudibranchs. The best diving was around Niihau island, where the Hawaiian Monk Seal is a friendly resident. We saw a pod of dolphin, Ono Tuna, large Trevally Jacks, as well as the usual tropical fishes of the Hawaiian islands. The Niihau trip is an all day, 3 tank outing with breakfast and lunch provided on board. This trip is usually run in the summer months due to strong currents.
