Comments Since this was early spring there is not much diving available on the northern end of Oahu. So Devin booked us seats on a larger boat running out of the Harbor in Honolulu. There were several other small groups using the same boat, but each group did their own thing with their own guide. The boat was comfortable with areas where you could get out of the sun if you wanted to, a restroom and a rinse bucket for cameras. Devin gave a short briefing before jumping in and then pointed things out as we circled the sites. We dove the wreck of the YO-257 and Turtle Cove (or Canyon, something like that). The wreck was around 85 ft. with a good amount of growth on it. We saw schools of some of the indigenous species, purple dragons, an eagle ray and even a turtle resting in the wheel house. Turtle cove lived up to it's name. We saw at least a half dozen turtles either resting or at cleaning stations. One was so curious about me and the camera, he got within a couple feet of the lens. My wife forgot her dive computer at the house, but Devin was able to provide a spare along with the gauges that she needed to complete the dives. He also supplied cookies and drinks during the surface interval and allowed us to borrow some weights for shore diving later in the week. All in all it was a good trip with a good dive master and we would do it again if we ever get back there.

Leave a little early if you are meeting in Honolulu as the traffic is ridiculous.
