Comments Alex was recommended by another Undercurrent subscriber through the msg board and I'm happy I listened. As another report stated, Oahu is not a diver's destination. I was pretty much able to see what I needed to in 2 days, but they were definitely a quality 2 days of diving. They have some very cool wrecks if you are not wreck certified, but want to penetrate one to have a look. We swam into a large cargo hold and found a small white tip reef shark and a large turtle hanging out. Alex is a master at finding interesting creatures that may not be easy to see. He found probably a dozen frog fish, an octopus, scorpion fish, sponge crab, plus the shark. We were only 3 the first day and it was just myself with Alex the second day so we were able to dive good profiles without having to worry about new divers which made things relaxed and easy. He had hot coffee and hot towels for us....and with the water temp that cold, they were well received. I would recommenend a thicker wet suit for this time of year as I was pretty cold by the end of the last dive. Alex, btw, was wearing only a bathing suit and a rash guard. As he likes to point out, he's been at this for a while. I would give him a call if you are heading to Oahu.
