Comments	We did two dives with Bleue Passion just west of the town of Bouillante, outside the Cousteau marine park which most divers to the area are here to dive. Left from behind Bleue Passion’s dive shop, a small, friendly, efficient operation, the boat taking c 8 divers. First dive, ‘Turtle’, was about 20 mins south along the coast from their shop, depth 12m, we tied up on a buoy. Dropped to 7m then swam out and back along a sloping bouldery reef. Some fan corals on the rocks, soft corals, relatively few fish, snakelocks anemone, octopus hole. Second dive on ‘The Rock’, a nearby site also with a buoy, a 4-5 m high large, flat rock surrounded by sand and Caulerpa. Fire coral and sponges all over the rock, a barracuda and burrfish over the sand, purple-mouth moray, lobsters, foureye butterflyfish, smooth trunkfish. Depth 17m, end of dive among large boulders, overhangs and small caves. Subsequently we dived the reserve, which definitely had more fish species and abundance. On the other hand, we had a fine day out with Bleue Passion, pleasant dives, were allowed to take photgraphs (yes, photography is banned in the marine park!), and very much enjoyed the small boat and relaxed atmosphere. Not the most spectacular diving in the Caribbean but worthwhile if you’re on the beautiful island of Guadeloupe.
