Comments The good: this is a well-run operation, both professional and friendly. Very safety-conscious. Dive masters worked very hard to find & show us interesting stuff, & they took really good care of some novice divers who were with us on two of our dives. We dove for 5 days; they took excellent care of our gear each day. When we requested to dive the Bianca C., a deeper wreck, they arranged it for us, & they spent lots of time discussing various sites with us -- we had a good deal of input as to where we dove.

Marine life is fairly prolific in the protected marine conservation area; not so much elsewhere as this is a subsistence-fishing economy. We got lucky and followed four whales for awhile on the way to one dive; also there's a site on the Atlantic side with reliable Nurse Sharks & occasional Reef Sharks; we saw lobsters and free-swimming eels there as well.

And we can't say enough good things about the Hotel Flamboyant. Not only is it super-convenient, as the dive shop is on their grounds, but it's a great place in its own right. We've reviewed it on TripAdvisor if you want more info.

The not-so-good: only one thing -- we really prefer operations that are set up so we can dive our own air consumption. Since many of the dives were a little chilly (I wished I'd brought my 5mm), it was OK some of the time because I was cold & ready to come up. But our day on the Bianca C. was quite warm & we'd have liked to stay longer & drop a little deeper for better photos (the group stayed above 100' & we were beckoned back if we started to drop down), as both our air & nitrogen were well within safe limits.

What we wish we'd known: the dive limits. Considering how friendly and accommodating the staff was, I think that if we'd known to discuss this with them before our trip, we could have probably found some compromise. If we return (which is likely!), we'll definitely do this.
