Comments	The Paul Gauguin is actually a 300 passenger cruise ship which carries its own dive staff and sails (in this case) Tahiti or more accurately the Society Islands. As novice divers who had not been diving for several years this was the perfect set-up. There was a refresher in the pool and two dives. The instructors showed us the best way to set up neutral bouyancy which we had encountered. They were patient & helpful and worked around the fact that I had developed a problem with my left shoulder which affected my ability to put on & off my BC and and also could not pull myself back onto the Zodiac. The tropical fish were great and visibility was good. A shorty was all that was needed as a dive suit. There were more dives available to those who had certified but I got the impression that experienced divers were also limited to 50 feet and were expected to stay with the dive master. Still I heard no complaints from the experienced divers. The ship itself is great with marvelous food and lovely accomodations and unless you wanted to order a $70 or $100 bottle of wine all food and beverages, including alcohol, was part of the package price. Also tipping was included. We did stay on Moorea also for 3 days but prices have gone from high to astronomical especially for food.
