Comments Dive Spirit was a good outfit to dive with. In hindsight I would not have chosen to dive in this location because my partner Joe is a recently certified open water diver and the currents and depth were challenging. Marc, our dive master took care to make sure we did multiple dives on the outer wall until Joe was comfortable and that our first few dives in the north pass were when the currents were lower. The large schools of fish and hundreds of sharks were amazing . Lots of big fish like groupers, Napoleon wrasse and barracudas. Visibility was 40 to 100 ft depending on conditions. We dove the South pass one day and it was superlative. They use zodiacs to get to the dive sites. There were 6-8 divers on the boat and one dive master per 4 divers. Because of the currents, it was important to stay at the same depth as the dive master. Marc did a very good job of monitoring all the divers in the current. It is a testament to him that Joe really enjoyed the trip.
