Comments We made 3 stops during our visit to French Polynesia. First stop was Tahiti where we caught up on jet lag and did some land tours. Second stop was 4 nights with 2 days of diving in Rangiroa. We did a review of Rangiroa but forgot to add a link to the video so you will find it below. The third and final stop was to Fakarava where we boarded the Aqua Tiki III for a 12 night trip through the Tuomotus culminating in the grouper spawning event.

The boat is a fairly new (2019) catamaran with 5 cabins. We were a full charter with 10 guests. We had 4 dive crew for our trip. The captain, Matthieu, who also drove the skiff and did a myriad of other tasks, 2 great dive guides, Lola and Enzo and our favorite person, Nina, French Chef extraordinaire. We had one of the two “VIP” cabins. While not much floor room, there were cabinets and storage areas everywhere. We’ve never seen so much storage in a liveaboard bathroom. There was room on each side of the bed, so crawling over your partner was not necessary. The shower was good sized. There were 2 charging areas with plugs and USB’s in the room but we were cautioned not to use them if we were not there. The common areas were really nice. The main deck was actually one large open area with the bridge, an open kitchen, small lounge, dining table and dive deck. Upstairs was another shaded lounge with plenty of room to relax.
