Comments [None]If you are traveling to FIJI on a cruise and want to dive. There is a PADI certified very basic dive shop just a couple of miles from the cruise port. A 3.00-4.00 quick taxi. Some driver will try and rip you off for 10.00. Do not pay more than 5.00.
Dive shop is located in the Royal Suva Yacht club which has seen better days. However, for the adventurous who just want a nice and easy dive do not allow the rough exterior to deter you.
The boat is basic. No rinse tanks or bathroom.
They will take you to the marine park just 15 minutes away or to a wreck if weather allows.
Beautiful wall with black sea fans and plenty or fish and turtles.
Coral looked healthy.
Dive times were 40 min for a 76 feet dive and 52 minutes for a 53 foot dive. NO current. Skin or a 3 mm wetsuit.
water temperature was 79 degrees.
Experienced dive master and boat captain who looked out for my safety.
Cost: 195 Fiji dollars or 100.00 USA cash only.
Rental gear: 15.00

Owner: Greg from the UK.
Would return when on another cruise. However, a resort is best choice. The hurricanes hit the east side of the Island badly so much of the coral is damaged near Lautoka.
