Comments [None]1 dive master for every 6 divers. They rinse your dive gear and hang it. Water, fruit and cookies included. Bring pool towel from room. There is no dock so sometimes they can bring boat in close enough to board using a gang plank but sometimes you may have to board from a skiff which is brought to the beach. Nitrox available. Bring water shoes for walking through water. You can prebook diving if you email the resort but dive reservations are non-refundable. Best to prebook dive reservation which requires prepayment since Ra Divers is the only dive operator in the area so you don’t want to arrive and find there is no space for you on one of their boats.
The diving is beautiful and special for its large clouds of small tropical fish, colorful soft corals, diverse hard corals and particularly beautiful Bligh Waters region. Saw 2 hammerhead sharks, a silvertip shark a few turtles, a couple of octopus, a few lobsters, giant south pacific clams, many nudibrancs, many clown fish, huge variety of small and medium size tropical fish.
Favorite dive - Purple Haze. Second best dive Hi 8 aka Mutiny.

Volivoli Hotel is excellent. Clean, great service, beautiful location and grounds. About $3500 in mid October 2023 for Premium Ocean View Villa with large sitting area efficiency kitchen, shaded lanai with 2 lounge chairs, double sink bathroom with shower
and including breakfast and 3 course dinner, taxes for 2 people plus cost of diving. Restaurant very good. Pricing vaties by web site. Check Agoda.com

Closest Airport Nadi Getting There Fly into Nadi on Fiji Airways from the U.S. and book Economy Plus (not Economy Lite) to avoid $300 fjd RT per bag checked bag fee and get reserved seat selection. Airline may email you an offer to block 2 seats next to you for additional $200 each way the day or 2 before departure (cheaper than upgrade to business class) in a program called My Bubble. Use the emailed link to book return My Bubble.
Beware of booking airline tickets through an agency online which may NOT offer Economy Plus.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION
Hotel can arrange RT ground transportation by private taxi for $500 fjd. This is best way to do it. Add 3.5% for credit card. Will stop for coffee at The Coffee Hub in the town of Ba for superb coffee and toilet break and can also stop at Sop and Save grocery store in town of Tavua on way to resort on request. Good to pick up drinks, snacks and maybe supplies for light lunch. No super markets just a small market with minimal produce and no bakery.
As alternative you can try booking ground transportation on Viator.com travel agency but it is confusing because poor communication with vendor and must be booked as 2 one way trips, not a round trip. Have to search Rakiraki tours to find the return and online interface was buggy showing the only pickup option was midnight. Price was about the same as booking through the hotel. You can also book through local Fiji agencies but requires a phone call because no online booking option. Or you can negotiate a fare with taxi at the airport. One way travel time about 2.5 hours plus time for stops.
