Comments This was the first of 3 dive resorts we stayed at in the Fiji Islands. It is about a 2 1/2 hour drive (we arranged a private van with driver in advance) to this beautiful hillside dive resort. We stayed in a Premium Ocean View Villa, which was very roomy and comfortable with a great view of the Bligh Waters from our balcony. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the food was creative, varied, and delicious. There was an excellent Fijian dance demonstration and traditional buffet at the beach one evening, which was great fun.
The RA Divers were very professional and attentive (although we had arranged for a private dive master for the 3 of us, the ratio of crew to divers was outstanding, with 4 cres and 6 divers on the first day and 3 crew for 5 divers on the second). The dive boats were well equipped, comfortable and fast. Conditions were windy and choppy at the first dive site, but much calmer on our remiaining 3 sites (we did 2 dives per day). Our dive master/guide was Etikafor all our dives, and he was extremely attentative and helpful. (I should mention that we are in our early 80's and had not dived for 12 years, and we felt very comfortable and confident despite some strong currents). We went to 4 different dive sites ("Golden Dream," Golden Crown,", "Fantastic Reef," amd "Redemption Reef," all of which were worthwhile, with lots of colorful coral in excellent condition and lots of colorful fish.
The only slight downside of the resort is the 2 1/2 hour drive to and from Nadi Airport to get there, but once there, it was paradise..
