Comments Kai Viti Divers were excellent. They dive the same areas as the liveaboard boats. After 36 years of diving this land based dive operation is among the very best. The dive jet boat is sea worthy, fast, comfortable, extremely well maintained, equipped with GPS(they found their underwater buoys with no difficulty) and has a potty. The crew could not do enough for us. The dive guides gave excellent briefings and guided underwater tours. If you wanted to do your own thing that was OK with them.
During high current encounters the crew put out a long bow to stern safety(Jesus)line. This prevented many divers from having to be retrieved. Kai Viti Divers was the highlight of this trip.
Wananavu Resort had changed ownership and management prior to our trip. The accommodations are still very good but the food and service has deteriorated dramatically from two years prior. Repeated complaints to management regarding food and service during our stay did not result in any improvements.
