Comments This was an incredible trip. Our week aboard the Island Dancer was one just before a cyclone came through the area. It's approach created rain and a rough sea. Captain Joji monitored the weather closely and made decisions of where / when to go so as to maximize on the best diving. He did a great job. We never missed a dive and the ones we did were always remarkable. The crew was fantastic. They worked very well as a team; experienced, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, energetic and fun. Divemaster Moses has a great eye for even the smallest critters, Chef Ben made healthy & tasty meals, Engineer Clinton had our tanks filled for every dive even though there was only one nitrox hose and most of us were using nitrox. Adam was the all around everygthing guy. Actually the entire crew did anything and everything that was needed, making our week aboard the Island Dancer memorable and seamless. Very good trip. Lots of critters, few big animals except at the shark arena and healthy reefs and corals. Beautiful.

The boat is in the process of updating cabins and facilities. We were in forward cabin #3 on the starboard side. It had just been redone and was the most comfortable and roomy cabin I've ever had the pleasure to stay in on a live aboard - bar none. The AC worked great, unlimited hot water, comfortable beds, strong shower, flush toilet - yes, on a boat! No finniky marine head here. Very nicely appointed. The cabin 1 and the port side cabins are scheduled for makeover next. By the time you read this, they should have been redone as well.

UW Photo Comments There was a dedicated rinse bucket on board for UW camera equipment and a small table on the back deck for UW equipment. This wasn't strictly enforced as our group did not have any serious UW photographers, so non camera items were strewn about on the table such as masks, sunscreen, towels and drinks. If a group did have serious UW photogs with expensive gear, the table may have been more seriously dedicated to those folks.

Unless they weren't. We just spent a week in cabin 1 and it is a mess. They are supposedly doing it this week. Oh, great. That makes me feel good about the money I spent. The crew was great, the boat sucked.

Actually it was cabin 2. Cabin 1 is right behind the salon.
