Comments This was a great diving trip on a small live aboard. We had 8 divers and a crew of 5 very talented people who continually multitasked to get everything done on our trip. They work extremely well together. The captain of the boat, Joji Tavura, formally captain of the Nai, knows the Bligh Waters like the back of his hand. With captain Joji, you are guaranteed good dive spots at the right time in regards to current and conditions. He loves diving and it shows as he rarely misses a dive although he might be running the boat late into the night. All members of the crew were competent and always cheerful. Moses is a great critter spotter and dive guide. The food was wonderful and varied. Clinton did beautiful video work and kept everything in working order on the boat and with everyone's gear. Dive briefings were thorough and accurate.
The only problems were with the Miami office. You can take a bus or cab to Suva from Nadi to board the boat, avoiding the cost of flying and excess baggage fees on the small inter island airplanes. We were not advised of that. We also arrived on the second flight of the day and was told by the Miami office that transportation from the Suva airport would not be provided. Well, indeed it was, the crew sent a van for us, but we had already hired and left in a cab at the cost of 40.00 us dollars. It wasted the crews time and cost us money.
In spite of the transportation issues, I highly recommend this boat crew for your next live aboard in Fiji
