Comments	3rd time we have been to Curacao. Went for the shore diving. Stayed at Lagun Blou Resort for 2 weeks, a small group of apartments operated by a nice fella named Tom and his assistant Lay. Tom is the owner and he is currently remodeling the units, one at a time. The older units were serviceable but worn. The newer units were lovely with all new appliances. The "Resort" has security gates, a small pool and well maintained grounds. There are rinse and storage locations on the grounds. The views from the cliff facing units is beautiful. They offer car rental that was a better deal than the airport rentals. The best grocery choice is Centrum, it is nearer to the airport, so shop before you head out to the west end. We mostly used Discover Diving a shop/restaurant located a short walk from the units, however many of the dive sites at the western end of the island have simple dive shops located right on the beach, most have rental equipment, all rent tanks so it is easy to just drive up, get tanks and walk into the water. The petty theft issue continues to be an issue. Some of the the more well attended beaches that also offer facilities (restaurant, restrooms, showers and dive shop) also have parking lot security. If you dive at the unattended sites, do not bring anything with you you want to keep. Sparse quantities of typical Caribbean fish and lots of Lion Fish. Frequently saw divers harvesting Lion Fish as well. It is easy diving and you can set your own pace.
