Comments Arranged dives on Internet being on a cruise. Picked up promptly by Marcel and driven to the shop where we were outfitted. Good quality equipment though we only needed BCDs, tanks and weights having brought the rest. Did 2 shore dives at different locations which gave us the chance to see some of the island. Diving was nice, if not spectacular, with good visibility. Lots of small fish including lionfish, scorpionfish, octopus, etc. Significant current on both dives. We had only one other diver with us for the day so we could take our time. We were never hurried and Marcel was very respectful of marine life pointing out things but never grabbing, prodding or harrassing, stating we were visitors in their world. The only disconcerting aspect was that we were told to keep all valuables in the store since breakins were common. The truck was left unlocked while we dove and we were instructed to keep all equipment in the middle of the truck bed since things had even been stolen at traffic lights. Luckily we had no problems that day.
