Review of Scuba Du
Reviewed February 14, 2023
Whether you are an experienced diver or a novice Scuba Du will meet and exceed all your expectations. I have been diving for over 35 years. I have dived with operators in numerous locations across the Caribbean. None have provided the services you experience with Scuba Du. Here are some examples. The dive masters are experienced, safety conscious, and knowledgeable about under sea life. Customers arrive at the dock with their gear on the boats being assembled by the crew. If you wish you can assemble your own. Tanks are checked for full fills at 3000 psi. Standard tanks are 80's but you can request 100's. Boats are clean and equipped with safety equipment and a head. Before boats leave the dock area all equipment is checked. When you are with 20 minutes of the dive site a full briefing is given. The dives are first a deep dive maximum depth about 80 feet. There is about a one hour interval before the second dive. During this time divers are offered fresh fruit and cake, water is always available. The second dive is a shallower dive maximum depth about 40 feet. These dives are drift dives so there is always a current. After each dive, if divers want it, they are offered help removing their BCD, and tank while still in the water. The equipment is then taken out of the water by a crew member. This review has focused on the service offered by Scuba Du rather than what you see when diving the reefs and walls of Cozumel. They are world famous and deservedly so. But diving also depends on the quality of the operation and no other operation that I have experienced is as concerned for divers welfare and diving pleasure as Scuba Du.
