Comments We began diving with Living Underwater 15 years ago, this is our 7th repeat visit to Cozumel, and our sixth repeat diving with Living Underwater. Jeremy and his team are the best for experience, valet service, and dependability. Here is the routine. We check into to our resort. Around 5pm, Jeremy meets us, confirms our schedule, our diving needs, etc, and establishes the pickup and return schedule. He collects our dive gear, which will be kept in their facility overnight, and rinsed and dried each day. The morning of each dive day, the boat (Jewfish) arrives punctually and collects us at a nearby dock, and off we go to our first dive destination, sometimes collecting other divers along the way. We have learned to reserve our trips well in advance as they are sometimes fully booked. We often are diving with repeat customers, either individuals, couples, or groups.
The reason we keep coming back to them is the diving, of course. We can dive our own profile, as long as we stay with the group. This is necessary because of the slight to moderate current. If any divers in the group need to finish before others, they are sent back to the surface safely, for pickup by the boat that follows the group, while the rest of the group continues diving. The dive locations are selected by the divers as much as allowed by conditions. The dive briefings are clear, the dive masters are highly knowledgeable of each dive site, and anticipate what we might see and what conditions we might encounter. The boat carries up to eight divers, and we all backroll entry on cue to meet the dive master in the water. Dives are usually 60 minutes, using Steel 95 tanks. Currents were moderate to slight, as the dive master know where to enjoy minimal drift. Surface interval is on board near shore or on shore. We were done diving by 1230pm, which allows flying early afternoon the next day.
