Comments No complaints about Dive Paradise or their dive guides. Suggest you get on their fast 6-pack boats. You get back about 12-12:30 instead of about 2 pm on the slower boats.
Grandson, almost 11, completed his 4 open water dives to get his junior certification. Instructor was Omar who was wonderful with him. He even did the optional boat/drift dive on Paradise reef for his first real reef dive.
Hotel was good with average rooms and decent air conditioning. Food was good and served buffet style. Their pool stayed reasonably clean until the last day. Lots of insects in the water and cloudy. A couple of people got swimmers ear for being in the pool many hours each day. On my way out of Cozumel airport, I had my rechargable D cells confiscated, illegally I might add. Never had that done when leaving Cancun or Cozumel before or from any other country, coming or going. Wrote Mexico"s Ambassador about it and have not heard a reply. That put a bad "taste" in my mouth on an otherwise decent trip. Watch out U/W photographers.
