Comments [None]DM and Owner Onu works hard to make sure that guests are safe and enjoy the dives. The dives are just outside the encircling reef. There's not much fish life, though I was rewarded with a school of eagle rays, and a couple large turtles. A giant wrasse escorts many of the dives (due to Onu feeding it fresh coconut meat). On one of the dives we witnessed whales just off shore. But on my 3 days of dives, viz was not more than 5 or 6 meters, so when I was bumped in favor of a higher paying fishing trip ( even though I had reserved the dives months in advance) I can't say I was disappointed. I can't recommend Aitutaki as a diving destination (although there are plenty of other reasons to visit there), but if you do want to go diving while there, Bubbles Below is your best choice - just don't be surprised if you get canceled at the last minute.
