Comments Visit divingplanet.org to sign up for SCUBA or snorkeling. They also do discovery dives and open water SCUBA courses. Go to office in old town Cartagena at 8AM. they take you to boat to Rosarita Island (about an hour). there you get SCUBA gear and make 2 dives. My dives in Dec. 2019 had 50-80' visibility depending on the day but the reefs were surprisingly healthy with huge elephant ear sponges on one site and large brain and other corals at another. Lots of Caribbean reef fish but nothing very big and no sharks or even rays on my 3 days. Then lunch at the Cocoliso Resort with chicken rice or vegetarian rice and the ride back to old town, where they drop you off near Plaza de los coches, where cabs line up. Be aware that if PM wind picks up, the ride back could be rough with pounding and spray; take patch or other remedy if susceptible to seasickness. worthwhile if you are in Cartagena. Can also do a 5 dive overnight package with a night dive and stay at Cocolisa Resort.
