Comments We tried really hard to find an area of complaint - hmmm. Oh yeah, the bed was a little lumpy. This is a superb resort with immaculate rooms, pool, restaurants. Food is excellent and varied. Don't want what's on the buffet? No problem, they'll whip you up some pizza or hot dogs. Service of all the staff top notch and manager/asst mgr available 24/7. Activities a couple of nights a week in case you got bored. Cable TV and internet connections. Dive shop is on top of their game. Full check of cert cards and safely issues handled well. Large area for rinsing gear and wet suits and storing overnight - with wind pretty much everything dry for next day. Boats clean, well maintained and not crowded. Luke and Mike (our dive guides) knew when to help and rapidly assessed the capabilities of our divers - left us alone when they felt we were OK. Waters our week (T'giving) a little rough due to nearby hurricane/storms so didn't get to the west side of the island and they had to cancel the two night dives and the trip to the Russian frigate - disappointing but understandable. Mike/Luke made the best of it and when they say "valet diving" they really mean it - sit on the back of the boat and they put your gear on, fully ready to go. Communication excellent between divers and crew. Return visit for most of us and we will go back. Have no idea why anyone would want to do any other island in the Caymans as LC is outstanding. Our package included two drinks/day/person and they use a wristband for room entry - no losing keys! A lot of photographers but all great folks - no pushing, shoving, etc. that you sometimes see - everyone shared. We had some very experienced divers with us and all got along great. Mike/Luke made that happen. Return to boat sometimes tricky with rough seas but no serious bumps or bruises. Nice to jump in a hot tub after the return to the resort. Friendly bar staff made you feel welcome. If you needed anything in the room just ask and seconds later it would arrive. Suggest you get an "ocean view" room - all rooms quiet but the view is nice. Iguanas and a "slightly" overweight cat welcomed you to the restaurant - reasonable meal hours and wine available. ATM about a 10 minute walk away in case you forgot cash but dive shop takes cards for tips, purchases, etc. Not WOW!!! diving but pretty nice with rays, sharks, a few barracudas, small critters abound and huge groupers and lobsters as we were mostly inside the marine park. No gloves or knives. This time of year you'd need a wet suit as water high 70's and low 80's. Dive your own profile. No fuss, no muss. We'll be back for sure. Reef Divers now has operations on all three islands. Wife and I have 500+ dives and teen daughter 50+ - they treated her as a grownup and no hovering (I'm a DM so maybe that helped). Other guests on the boat were friendly and open and happy that she knew what she was doing. Everybody just simply had a great week even though conditions were a little less than optimal.
