Comments They provide good information prior to arrival. Compass Point has nice condos on the beach at East End, Grand Cayman. The associated dive company, Ocean Frontiers, shares the property. Dive masters lead the dive for 30 minutes, and then you are on your own until you start up when you reach 700 PSI.
The boats are large and accommodate 10 divers and 4 staff. The staff members are all instructors and take turns being captain, mate and dive masters. The reefs have some decent corals, but also have lots of competing algae. A few dive sites have large sponges. I have found the diving on Cayman Brac and Little Cayman more interesting with many large groupers compared with smaller fish on Grand Cayman. Local divers and frequent visitors seem to prefer Ocean Frontiers to other dive companies, and report that the diving at East End is superior to other parts of Grand Cayman.
The grill at Compass Point serves lion fish (quite tasty), which is culled weekly.
