Comments Indigo's reputation and ratings are solidly deserved, the operation is fun, enjoyable and personal. All the paperwork for our 6 days of 2 tank dives was done online prior to arriving, requested Nitrox and it was available. As advertised 6 divers Max on Indigo's very comfortable Sea Ray. We had a rental car but shuttle service from hotels is available. Showed up at the dock, Chris set up gear, we headed out and then got an enjoyable and comprehensive briefing. Safety was always stressed but in a friendly way. Chris, Katie or Bec were in the water on every dive and they all did a great job pointing out critters, Katie has a knack for finding small stuff for some great photos. Our dives were a deep North wall dive some with swim throughs, followed by a shallower reef or mini wall. At the end of the dive Chris hauled the tank, weights and BC on board, a fresh water hose was available, towels handed out and fruit, cookies and water served. The service above and below the surface was five star and I would highly recommend them to anyone diving Grand Cayman especially for those appreciating personal service and an aversion to crowded dives. A recreational diver of any skill level would be comfortable and enjoy the experience.
The diving was good with lots of fish and with turtles and rays on almost every dive. Corals are healthy but a notch below breathtaking.
To further avoid crowds we got a very spacious condo with kitchen, washer and dryer in a development called Coconut Bay ( This complex is on West Bay almost next to the Cracked Conch/turtle reef. We booked the condo through Duncan (who handles the condo and owns Stingray Watersports) who also provided Nitrox tanks and weights on site and we had some of the best shore diving off the complex not just on the "mini wall" (reef) but in the sandy holes between the shore and reef which were full of juvenile fish and resting rays.
