Comments Accommodation and Facilities:

The bedrooms at Rendezvous Dive Lodge are pretty cramped, lacking basic storage amenities such as closets, drawers, or even sufficient hooks for hanging clothes. As a result, guests are forced to keep most of their clothing in suitcases or bags, which must be stored under the beds. With ten guests sharing just two bathrooms and a single shower, convenience is limited. Although a dedicated camera room is available, there is no heated drysuit room or other heated space for drying wet clothing, hoods, or gloves. The only opportunity to use the clothes dryer occurs when the air compressor is running, typically in the evening during tank fills. A larger heated room would greatly benefit divers needing to dry their gear. There’s a spacious camera room at the Lodge with plenty of electrical outlets for charging stations.
Food and Amenities:
This visit demonstrated a significant improvement in food quality compared to a previous trip in October 2019. Kathy did an excellent job preparing our meals. They were varied, well-cooked, and suited for special diets, including gluten-free options, earning a 5-star rating. However, guests are encouraged to bring their own snacks. Closest Airport Vancouver International Getting There From Vancouver Int'l Airport, you can rent a car and drive to the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal (a 20-minute drive). You would take the Ferry to the Duke Point Ferry terminal in Nanaimo (a 2 hour Ferry ride), and from there drive to Port Alberni (1 1/2 hours). From there the Dive Lodge will pick you by Boat for the 2 1/2 hour ride to the Rendezvous Lodge.
