Comments [The U.S. and Europe have placed Burma on the DO NOT TRAVEL List. In the 10 days there, I saw no evidence of turmoil in the Mergui Archipelago. Master Liveaboards took care of all immigration logistics out of Thailand into Burma and then back to Thailand again.
The boat can take up to 18 passengers in 7 cabins with en-suite baths and controllable A/C. Two cabins are quads. Although advertised as same sex quad cabins, one quad had mixed genders and guests were not informed of this until they boarded. The toilet and shower are all one wet-unit. Small but adequate. Closest Airport Phuket Getting There Flight to Phuket and then a 5 hours shuttle to Ranong to pickup liveaboard. Exit Thailand at Ranong and then cross river to imigration in Burma

Enforced diving restrictions Assigned to group and groups dive from RIB together. Once in the water, you had option of following the guide or diving on your own. Dives limited to 60 minutes.
