Comments Hello fellow divers.

Trip number 15 to "a divers paradise!" We love the pace of the island, nice and slow.

The Plaza has been going through some renovations over the last few years and it looks nice. All the staff is very friendly and it's nice to see many familiar faces. Note that the resort is an “all-inclusive.”

Our room was fine as we had a Grand Suite facing the lagoon.

Their beach is always kept nice and clean, with places to lay out and catch some sun. There is a pool on site for those who wish to take a quick dip after a salty dive in Mother Nature’s pool!

The beach has a Tiki Bar called The Coconut Crash for light snacks and refreshments, too.

The Tipsy Seagull is the name of their restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We've never had an issue with the quality of food as it's above average, with a lot of options. The meals are served buffet style. And you can’t beat the view - literally seaside, with toes in the sand.

We've seen Chef Debbie at the restaurant and have gotten to know her over the last couple of years. She’s even made a few dishes for us that were not on the buffet. They have always been outstanding. It never hurts to make friends with the chef!

Toucan Diving is The Plaza's dive operation. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. We wish there was an easier way to get one's gear from their lockers down to their beach. The wheelbarrows help, but it’s still a bit of a haul.

Next to Toucan Diving there's a snack bar called "Scubar." This is a convenient location to pick up something to eat prior to a dive or a cold beer after a dive.

We didn't go on any of the Toucan boats this year as they had several large dive groups there at the time.

18th Palm is The Plaza's "house reef." It is a fantastic reef to dive and we've seen just about everything there: octopus, turtles, seahorse, ocean triggers, squid, along with the usual suspects. Great visibility, no current, and an easy entrance. It’s also a good spot for snorkeling.

For boat diving, we used Div'Ocean, which is located right next to the Plaza. They run very small groups (max 6) out of one boat, which suits us just fine.

Hope to be back in 2019.
