Comments Excellent dive operator with attention to detail and very easy diving. While attending the DAN - UHMS medical course. Lectures in morning. 2 dives every afternoon. They nave 3 Newton 36' dive boats, another 46' and a couple more craft. Nitrox by concentrator and perfect mixes every time. Lots of small reef creatures. Reefs and coral were very healthy. Many of the attendees for the course were very experienced divers, from all over the world, and almost ll thought the coral was in significantly improved condition. No gloves.
There is active coral farming going on for the restoration of mostly Stag horn and Elk horn corals. Many of the encrusting corals and plate corals were "rapidly" recovering from whatever had hit the Caribbean in the past. You can adopt a coral farm tree and grow a few hundred stag horn coral twigs that are later implanted to help restore the huge forests that used to be here.
No big reef creatures except for tarpon. No sharks, No medium to large pelagics. water temperature 84-85 F. No currents worth mentioning.
