Comments This was out 31st trip to this beloved island. We have stayed at Captain Don's Habitat on numerous occasions and it is always great.
But in recent years we found saving money meaans we can go twice a year.
We book a bugalo with either "Happy Holiday Homes" Louise has a nice website or Bonaire exclusive for $85 to $110 per night for the bungalo. Either way you can get a nice unit with a full kitchen, decent bedroom, living room, porch, and nice place to wash and store gear, clotheline and access to washer and drier. We usually go to one of the supermarkets and buy foodstuffs and cook in for most meals while dining at "Rum Runners" for some of our meals.
We secure a dive package from "Dive Friends" and can get free upgrade to NITROX for a very competitive price. Our diving is mostly shore diving since Bonaire is known for great shore diving but you can reserve boat dives there also. They have 6 locations up and down the coast to swap out tanks for new one which makes it very convenient.

We rent our truck from Telerin Rental (they have a web page) and "Poppy" the lady who owns it is great to deal with and they meet you at the airport with the truck and you just leave it at the airport when you leave.

This arrangement has saved us hundreds of dollars each trip and given us freedom to go diving where and when with our own privacy and "kick back" making the diving soooo sweet.

We pack a lunch throw tanks in the truck with our gear and navigate up and down the coast (not talking about many miles folks if you've never been here lol) to the easy to find sites and get in and out as our profile allows.

I encourage some information gathering and planning and you will have a great time for bargain costs.
I will allow some of the other divers to describe the great diving on this "diver's paradise" island.
We are aready booked for May 2017!
