Comments A few of us traveled to Bonaire in the southern Caribbean for a week of diving, staying at Buddy Dive Resort. Buddy Dive is ... a hotel, with multi-room condos and more traditional studio rooms; 2 restaurants (for pay, outside of breakfast), one of which (Ingredients) is exceptional and worth a meal even if not staying at Buddy Dive; a fully-stocked dive shop; a dive school; a dive boat operation, operating 2 or 3 of their 5 boats for 2-tank dives twice a day, every day; two pools, one with a swim-up bar; a tank-filling center, which must fill over 500 bottles a day, split about half between air and nitrox (we measured ours at 33-34% O2); and a car rental agency, providing pickup trucks to its guests for exploring the island and shore diving. We made 20 dives in total over 6 days of diving. Weather in Sep was warm and mostly sunny, with brief afternoon or overnight rain a few days. I dived in skins most dives, though there were plenty of shorties and 3mm wetsuits in use.
