Comments Bonaire is the quintessential shore diving mecca, suitable for relative beginners and experts alike. This was our 6th trip to the island and will certainly not be our last. Reef health seems to be slowly degrading since we started coming here 12 years ago but it is still good compared to many places. We did not see many lionfish on this trip as compared to previous trips. Fantastic accommodations in a private villa/beach. Great restaurants and friendly people. Crime is around but not as scary as many make it out to be.
