Comments	This resort is much fancied up since our last visit over a decade ago. More bungalows added, many with their own plunge pools and nice amenities. Many of the same dive staff are present and the others have all been there a long time. Very good food with lots of options and a huge Thanksgiving buffet! Diving from skiffs with good motors usually 6-8 divers with one guide. Dive sites are 5-10 minutes away and there is shore and boat snorkeling. Travel from Belize City in large cruiser boat, but still can be rough crossing, about an hour trip. Also big boat is used for the weekly full day trip to Blue Hole and the best dive sites that are by there. Coral still Ok in that area. Now the bad news, major coral bleaching, especially the reefs near the resort which are the only dive sites other than the day trip. Few fish, no small critters but lots of sharks. They've been culling lionfish successfully, but the sharks come as soon as we dive in and stay til they see us go up for our safety stops. GREAT photo opportunities if you want to take pix of sharks. The highlight was diving in midst of a huge pod of dolphins two different times. they circled us for a long time, diving up and down water column. But, Caribbean is out for us for diving I'm afraid, except for Anse Chastanet in St Lucia which is remarkably still good. see our reader review for that resort from April 2024.
