Comments Glover's Atoll is as close to a pristine area to dive in this hemisphere as we have been to. The coral and sponges are spectacular, Tropical fish are plentiful, though there is too many lion fish prowling the reef. Huge eagle rays, lots of young loggerheads who are very curious of divers. There is opportunities to see reef sharks, dolphins, turtles and just about anything else that is in the Caribbean. We stayed and dived with Isla Marisol. Eddie and the crew took great care of us. Denise was an unbelievable cook and Alcica always made sure our needs and accomodations were in good order. We stayed in reef house 2 which was comfortable and well maintained. We dove with the owner Eddie as our DM and Jorge as the boat captain. They are both skilled and pleasant to be around. The diving was a little more advanced than intermediate but the crew of the large spacious dive boat made it easy with valet service. Most of the diving was on the winward side, diving walls that go to about 100-200 ft, the tops of the walls are at about 45-50ft and have more tropicals. We drift dived all of our 17 dives and found most the reefs near pristine, and interesting and large life abundant. Glover's Atoll with Isla Marisol makes a great dive trip. I would rank the diving near the top of this hemisphere if not the top. The resort is ecofriendly, nice and comfortable. The food was local fare and very well prepared and plentiful. The management and staff made us feel at home and it was hard to leave after a week of their hospitality. We hope to return again. This is a must do for the serious dive traveler. -Dave Jackson
