Comments I was part of a group who chartered the entire boat. Experience of group members ranged from instructor to first-time in ocean. The boat is showing wear, and is reportedly scheduled for refurbishment soon. Rooms were small, spare, but comfortable. The diving was varied from shallow (20 ft.) to deep (90 ft.), wrecks (Theo's Wreck, Hesperus), flat coral mounts, and mini-walls. The crew did an excellent job of varying the sites. Dive briefings were detailed. Divers could stay with a divemaster or dive their own plan. There were always 4 divemasters assisting with each dive - 1 or 2 in the water, 2 or 3 on the deck during the dive. Crew was very accommodating with assistance with gear and cameras. When dolphins showed up unexpectedly, the crew quickly changed the plan to allow a swim with the dolphins. Despite the efforts of the crew, the dive deck is not big enough for 32 divers at the same time. Also, smaller sites (e.g., Hesperus) quickly became stirred up with virtually zero visibility. Arminda provided excellent food. Breakfast was juice, fresh fruit, cold cereals, bagels and toast plus hot dish - eggs, pancakes, etc., with warm cookies each morning for dive break. Lunch was filling and varied. Hors d'oeuvres daily mid-afternoon. Dinner always included fresh salads, hot breads, and luscious desserts. The crew was uniformly friendly and helpful. However, I was not pleased with the in-your-face tip request (demand?) at the end of the trip.
