Comments Paradise Isalnd is an amazing place. They empoyee 13,000 people, if you like big this is the place. We stayed at The Cove (advertised as adults only) don't believe it, there was more children than adults. We retreated to the adult pool, there the music was so loud we could not talk. Well then way not a cocktail, one round of drinks and lettuce wraps, $154.00.
The service staff was great and pleasnat to be around but the 500% markup on food and beverage was a little to much.
The water slides and water activites at Paradise island are great and worth the trip.
After reading Uncurrent, I choice to dive with Bahama Divers. They are located 5 minutes from Paradise Island and not a long bus ride as Stuart Cove Divers are. I was pick-up at 8:30 and drop-off at 12:30. Their boats are large with lots of room for people and gear. One day we had 2 snorkelers and 3 divers. Other trips it was 8 divers with as many as 3 divermasters in the water.
The profiles were limitd, however I was first in the water and last out, so I felt okay with my bottom time. One day I came up with 1400 psi but I had a 3400 psi fill. Saw all thr typical Caribbean fish, but was amazed at the number of Lionfish. They are truely beautiful, but not Caribbean.
The BLUE HOLE (Bahama size) and the Baracuda Reef are very nice dives. Try to make those days. All in all I was very pleased, but keep in mind I never dove with Stuart Cove, but I understand they have 15 to 20 divers per boat. Small is sometimes better.
