Comments After reading the review of August, 2016 I have to say first that apparently the ship was maintained during offseason as I did not find it in the condition reported then. We had good towels, no rust in the bathroom and the carpeting seemed to be in good shape.
Crew was excellent and the food was very good - especially for a live-aboard.
We had a very rough passage as there were 30 knot winds so we could not make an initial stop at the Exumas and proceeded to Eleuthra where we were sheltered from the wind.
I was very disappointed in the diving itself. As noted in the August 2016 review the reefs were in poor condition and covered with algae and a lot of sand - probably worse than in the review because of hurricane Mathew. The fish were few and far between and we only saw a couple of sharks except at the shark feeds. We saw a couple of leatherback turtles and two people saw what was identified as a Minke whale.
The shark feeds went well - lots of reef sharks along with tons of yellowtails.
On return to the Exumas later in the week we tried the Blue Hole but visibility was extremely poor - my guess is less than a hazy 30 ft. probably due to things not settling down after the high winds. The Washing Machine was a fun ride but again vis was pretty limited.
We could dive our own profile - at least one of the divemasters was in the water and we had the option of going with him or her - but we were entirely on our own which was great.
In summary - loved the crew, the food, and the boat. The diving was a disappointment.
