Comments We organized our trip through a dive travel agent: Nina Joost at Dive Adventures (www.diveadventures.com ) out of Sydney. She was absolutely great. She recommended this hotel and dive center and they were very good. The hotel is a little funky, but accommodations were very comfortable, the restaurant was very good, and the staff was outstanding. Folks on TripAdivsor had some not great things to say about the hotel, but we found the hotel and staff to be very pleasant. The dive center was also great. We had our trip schedule messed up by Cyclone Ita (see my report on Mike Ball), but Nina got our dive schedule reworked with the dive center, and they were great. We lost one day of diving (we had to drop the Ningaloo Reef), but had a very good experience anyway. We dove the Muiron Islands and the Navy Pier (another report - using the Ningaloo Reef dive center). The ride out to the islands was long (1+ hour), and the dives were not easy - a good bit of surge and current, especially on our second dive. Visibility wasn't great, either. Nevertheless, our DM showed us a lot of really different coral structures (very large plate corals, for example) as well as several very different nudis. Not much in the way of big fish, although the DM indicated that they see large groupings of reef sharks very often in the area - maybe the weather had moved them. All in all, a good experience.
