Comments Mafia is a gorgeous island with its rustic charm away from it all. Diving is by shore or traditional wooden boats and there are reefs with plenty of life and loads of the smaller stuff on the shore dive right outside the dive centre- frogfish, nudibranch, octopus, cuttlefish to name but a few. The real beauty of this place is that due to its remote location it is not over populated with tourists and so not many divers and reefs all to yourselves! Accommodation is via lodges and transfers to and from the dive centre are easy. The food was fresh and delicious. You can venture out on island and village tours and in season even take a trip to snorkel with whalesharks. This was a very relaxed trip away from it all and I would love to return one day.
