Divers Equipment Protection Program

After DEMA, we published an article about the new Divers Equipment Protection Program (DEPP), an insurance program designed specifically for diving and photographic equipment. Since then, DEPP has made some additions: 1) Coverage is good worldwide, no matter what country you live in; 2) ALL scuba diving and photographic equipment is covered; 3) If equipment is temporarily lost or misplaced by the airlines, DEPP will reimburse you up to $150 for rental equipment; 4) There is NO maximum dollar limit on the amount of equipment you can insure; and 5) enrollment becomes effective within twenty-four hours of calling or faxing your application.

DEPP has also added flood coverage for camera equipment. For an additional $35 per camera per year, you can cover both your housings and any lenses attached at the time of the flood up to $2,500. You may also enroll your housings and strobes separately if you need more coverage.
