An outbreak of dengue fever, an infectious tropical disease transmitted by mosquitoes and characterized by high fever and severe muscle and joint pain, has been reported in Puntarenas, Costa Rica, the Pacific port city where the Okeanos Agressor and Undersea Hunter are docked for departures and arrivals to Cocos Island. Check with the Centers for Disease Control at 404-639- 2572 for recommended precautions at least three weeks before departure.
